Program Assistant
As a Program Assistant, Alegneta provides general support for the Program Officers and assists with the grants process. Prior to joining the Meyer Foundation, Ms. Asfaw worked in sales and marketing for a luxury homebuilder. Her passion for entrepreneurship led her to serve as Secretary of TAAF, LLC and as General Manager of a retail venture. While attending Towson University, Ms. Asfaw co-founded the school's first ever student-run newsletter focusing on African students and news in Africa. She also earned her tutoring license and helped fellow students in the areas of economics and statistics. Ms. Asfaw has been a volunteer for the Ethiopian Community Center and helped with their recent capital campaign. She graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
